The River Lea Cafe was open last night for tea & cakes for our fundraising evening for the Gambia.There were 20 excited beavers eagerly icing cakes & biscuits ready for their family and friends and looking foward to seving them when they arrived. At 6pm there was a huge queue at the door and and the eager beavers showed the guests to their tables,they took their orders for their drinks and looked after their guests with cakes and biscuits.
Before we knew it it was 6.45 and we were drawing thew raffle tickets for the donated prizes.
We would like to thank everyone that came along and supported us, District Toad & Jim in the kitchen And Sophie & Tamsin for helping with the hot drinks.We took a massive £155 much to our delight so once again a big thank you.
Sorry no photos we were so busy and to be perfectly honest forgot to take any.
