Visit to the Priory

As part of the Local Knowledge badge, the Pack went to visit the Priory. This is one of the oldest buildings in Ware and has been a Francisian Friary, a private house, a hospital during the First World War, and is currently the offices of Ware Town Council.

Sleepover at the HQ

The Cubs and Leaders of Falcon Pack had a sleepover at the HQ. We did a hike around the local area so that we could earn a hikes away badge, then came back to the HQ, cooked our dinner (chosen by us previously) then ate it, washed up, watched a film in bed and went to sleep.
Everyone was very tired and there wasn't a sound from anyone all night!
After breakfast (more washing-up) we presented some badges such as the hikes and nights away, then everyone was collected by their parents and went home for a rest!

Will these pancakes end up on the floor or the ceiling?

Founder's day 2019

On a Sunday as close to February 22nd as possible (the date of Baden-Powell's birthday) Ware & District Cubs have an activity day. The Cubs get to try lots of activities such as swimming, climbing, a treasure hunt, craft, problem solving, dance, an assault course and soft play. We finish the day with a service of thanks for the life of our Founder Baden-Powell where we parade our flags and renew our Promises.

Lunchtime!

Visiting Leaside Church

For the last part of the World Faiths badge we visited Leaside church. For most of us it is where we go each December to see the Christmas Tree festival so we met the Minister and found out some of the differences and things that are the same to churches that we attend ourselves.

Skills evening

Tonight we made some rope using a rope making machine, drew round a Cub and added where we thought our bones and internal organs were and tried to clear up an oil spill-that was tricky!
