Pencil cases for The Gambia

This week at Cubs, Falcon Pack brought in items to make up pencil cases to send to our twin Group in The Gambia.

All of the Cubs brought in items such as pencils, felt pens, coloured pencils, rulers, sharpeners and erasers.

In sixes the Cubs sorted the different items so that each pencil case would have about the same amount of items.

They then put the sorted items into pencil cases or plastic bags if there were not enough cases.

A filled case! They were added to the ones that Herons had done the week before and went to be stored until the rest of the Group had done theirs. They will then be shipped out to Medina Sering Mass for our twin Scouts to use at school.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this activity. We will be awarding the International Friendship award to some of our new Cubs and for those who already have it, it is another activity to confirm our commitment to The Gambia.
