JOTA/JOTI weekend

On Saturday Ware & District had their own Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI). It was held at Buntingford Scout HQ and Freman College.

First we went to the HQ where the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were able to make a crystal radio.

Some of the the young people were also able to use the amateur radio and talked to Scouts who were camping at Gilwell.

Next we went along to the school where there were some other Leaders who showed the young people how to join in the conversations that were happening with Scouts from all over the world. They were able to 'talk' with Scouts from Greece, Denmark, and Aruba in the Caribbean.

Thank you to everyone who organised the day for the young people of the District. It was great and we look forward to doing it again next year!
