At the end of the meeting this week, we had a team building activity and had to fold a groundsheet in half while standing on it and not falling off!
Welcome to our Blog - At 3rd Ware we have 100 Scouting years behind us and now you can read about some of our adventures as we embark on the next 100! Enjoy and feel free to add a comment.

Home Help badge
Falcon Pack are working towards the Home Help badge over the next four meetings. Each week they will either cook some soup, sew a badge onto their uniform, clean the handbasins and windows in the HQ or iron their neckers and a T shirt.

Emergency aid evenings
Over two weeks Falcon Cubs learnt about emergency aid, how to get help, call 999 in an emergency and how to do CPR.
In the second week we welcomed a paramedic and two community first aid responders to the meeting.
They showed us how to do CPR as well as putting people into the recovery position.

Sometimes you will need to put a bandage onto someone!
As well as learning some practical first aid we also found how about the app What3words.
This pinpoints everywhere in the world and can help the emergency services to find you

Swimming at the Lido
For the last meeting of term, Falcons, Herons and Leopard Pack from Great Amwell joined together to have a fun swim and earn a swimming badge.
We had a barbeque after the swim and gave out the badges to those Cubs that had been successful.
A lovely way to end the term! See everyone in September 😄

Backwoods Cooking
Over two weeks Falcon Cubs practised lighting fires and cooking different things. We toasted marshmallows on sticks, made hot chocolate and the second week made garlic bread.
