Mini Pioneering
Heron Cubs spent a sunny evening constructing catapaults from garden canes and rubber bands.
Each six was given some materials in order to propel a projectile as far as possible.

Falcon Pack summer camp at Tolmers
19 members and the Leaders of Falcon Pack set off for Tolmers for their annual camp.
Starting with designing their own T shirt on Friday evening they had a very busy weekend!
On Saturday everyone got the chance to practise fire lighting, then cooked their lunch to gain the brand new Backwoods Cooking activity badge!
After more washing up and some free time, the Cubs then had the chance to try air rifle shooting instructed by Oli
Then on to the pedal go-karting.
Then into the splash pool to cool off and dinner of pasta bolognaise and apple crumble.
A fantastic campfire built by Will and led by Oli and lots of choices of songs by the Cubs. Even some stunts this year!
On Sunday morning the Cubs had a go on Rope-a-Phobia
Then after more lunch, more washing up and the taking down and clearing up of all the tents it was time for the final Grand Howl, awarding all the badges and prizes for the winning six of the weekend.
Thank you to all the Leaders who came along, especially Mr Shere Khan who did all the cooking. Everyone seemed to have had a good time and we can now think about summer 2015!
