Ghost Walk

On Tuesday, Falcon Pack went on a ghost walk around the town with John Wing. He told us stories of where ghosts had been seen in Ware, starting with the railway.

We walked along the High Street, hearing tales of Ware long ago.

About the many things that happened in the inns and taverns of the town.

Here we are outside the HQ of 3rd Ware between 1956-1973! They say that the current residents of Bluecoat Yard sometimes hear children playing. Are they from the Bluecoat School or Cubs and Scouts from then...........?

We finished at the Maltmaker statue outside St. Mary's church.

Many thanks to John for his time, the Cubs had a fantastic time and were absolutely fascinated by all his stories!

Silver Award evening

On Friday, those Cubs in the District who had gained the Silver award in the past year gathered at Fletcher's Lea for a District presentation. The guest of honour was Jagz Bharth who is the Deputy Youth Commissioner.
3rd Ware was well represented.

Well done to all of the Cubs who have gained the award and many thanks to the District team for organising the event.

Founders day 2015

Last Sunday, the Cubs of Ware and District gathered for an activity day to celebrate the life of our Founder Robert Baden-Powell. They were able to take part in lots of great activities, the climbing wall, swimming, soft play, craft, a treasure hunt as well as finding out about the work of the Herts air ambulance.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch outside with our friends.

At the end of the day we had a Cub's Own to think about the fun we had had and to be grateful for the life of Baden-Powell who created Scouting.

Performance

We have now all gone home, tired but happy.

This was our final performance of "Castle on the Hill", for or parents.

Eating breakfast

After a busy evening building a castle, and some sleep for most of us, we are now eating breakfast.

The beavers have made a tabbard, and practiced a song to sing to their parents tomorrow morning.
We are currently making bricks for a castle wall
