Falcon Pack go Indoor caving

For the last meeting of term, Falcon Pack had a fun evening making their own caving system. Using table, benches, the cargo net and groundsheets they built a system of tunnels all around the hall. They then took turns going round, carrying a football to make it more tricky!

The Cubs each brought along £1 for the evening and we donated £30 to Comic Relief. There was also lots of cake to eat to keep the evening going!

This evening at River Ash Beavers we are busy with Easter Crafts.

Day 2

The Beavers have now finished and gone home but the Scouts are continuing until this afternoon. They spent another night in the tents and they were up bright and early to collect wood and cook their own breakfast over a fire.

Danemead

Whilst the Beavers have been gallivanting around Castles and toy museums, the Scouts have been busy at Danemead and cycling or hiking around the surrounding area.

 

 

The Hiking was declared to be good, if somewhat muddy!

 

 

 

 

Biking was muddy muddy and they stopped off at some wooden sculptures.

 

 

 

The Scouts have chosen the menus and cooked dinner as well as building  a shelter and giant rope swing. All now preparing for the night ahead.

The Beavers from River Lea and River Ash, are now on their way back. Once they arrive it will be all systems go to get ready for the campfire, the evening meal, a film and sleep.

We have arrived

The Beavers have arrived safely at Standsted Mountfitchet. Half have set off for the toy museum, where they will witness the leaders exclaiming..."I had one of those." and "I had forgotten all about that." and the other half are awaiting the introduction film at the castle.
