Bike ride

The older Cubs went on a bike ride from the HQ to Hartham Common. They set off from the HQ in the light but by the time they got there it was dark and they had to use their lights!

The Cubs had a great time, it has been a while since we have done a bike ride so many thanks to all the Leaders and Young Leaders that came along.

Fruit kebabs

We made some fruit kebabs and cooked them on barbeques.

Our Young Leaders cooked them outside in the rain! It was an interesting experiment anyway and they did taste nice!

Oxley Shield competition

Heron and Falcon Cubs were among the 14 Packs of the District to take part in the Oxley Shield competition, this year held in Datchworth. 

After putting up their tents, they started the bases of the day.

After a long and busy weekend, Falcon Pack were very pleased to come a good third and second in the Wildgoose handicraft competition.

Oxley shield practise

Falcon Cubs and 5th Ware Lemurs had a practise session at the HQ for the forthcoming Oxley Shield competition.

They were able to practise fire lighting, tent pitching, knotting, first aid and cooking their dinner.
